Accessing Conversation History

Find and review your past conversations

Premium+ Feature

What is Conversation History?

Conversation History allows Premium+ subscribers to save, search, and revisit all their past interactions with AskFLC. Never lose valuable information or forget an important answer - your entire conversation archive is just a click away.

Why Conversation History Matters

  • Reference previous answers without asking the same question twice
  • Track your learning progress over time
  • Build on past conversations with follow-up questions
  • Export important information for your records
  • Share useful AI responses with colleagues or friends

Accessing Your History

How to View Past Conversations:

Click the History Icon

Look for the clock or history icon in the main navigation menu or sidebar. This opens your conversation archive.

Browse Your Conversations

Conversations are listed chronologically, with the most recent at the top. Each entry shows the first question or a title, timestamp, and a preview of the conversation.

Open a Conversation

Click any conversation to view the complete exchange. You can read through past messages, copy text, or continue the conversation where you left off.

Searching Your History

Powerful Search Features

Finding specific conversations is easy with our search tools:

  • Keyword Search: Type any word or phrase to find relevant conversations
  • Date Filters: Narrow results by date range (today, this week, this month, custom)
  • Topic Filters: Filter by AI mode used (Health Insurance, Study Assistant, Web Search)
  • Starred Conversations: View only conversations you've marked as important

Managing Your Conversations

Star Important Conversations

Mark conversations as favorites for quick access later. Perfect for reference materials, complex topics, or frequently needed information.

Export Conversations

Download conversations as text files or PDFs. Great for keeping records, sharing with others, or backing up important information.

Rename Conversations

Give conversations descriptive titles to make them easier to find and organize. Better than relying on automatically generated titles.

Delete Conversations

Remove conversations you no longer need. Deleted conversations are moved to a trash folder for 30 days before permanent deletion.

Continuing Past Conversations

One of the most powerful features of Conversation History is the ability to continue where you left off:

  1. Open the conversation you want to continue from your history
  2. Click "Continue Conversation" or simply start typing in the input field
  3. The AI remembers the context from your previous messages
  4. Ask follow-up questions or explore related topics

Context Retention

When you continue a conversation, the AI has access to all previous exchanges in that thread. This means you can build on earlier topics without re-explaining context or background information.

Storage & Retention

How Long Are Conversations Saved?

  • Premium+ Subscribers: Unlimited storage - conversations saved indefinitely
  • Premium Subscribers: Last 90 days of conversations
  • Free Users: Current session only (history cleared when you leave)

What Happens If I Downgrade?

If you downgrade from Premium+ to a lower tier:

  • Recent conversations (last 90 days for Premium, current session for Free) remain accessible
  • Older conversations are archived but not deleted
  • If you upgrade again, all archived conversations are restored
  • After 30 days of downgrading, older conversations may be permanently deleted

Privacy & Security

Your conversation history is private and secure:

  • Only you can access your conversation history
  • Conversations are encrypted both in transit and at rest
  • We never share your conversation data with third parties
  • You can delete any or all conversations at any time
  • Account deletion permanently removes all conversation history

Organizing Tips

Use Descriptive Titles

Rename important conversations with specific titles like "Health Insurance Deductible Explanation" instead of leaving the default "Conversation about health insurance."

Star Your Best Conversations

Mark particularly useful or insightful conversations as favorites. Think of starred conversations as your personal knowledge base.

Regular Cleanup

Periodically review and delete conversations you no longer need to keep your history organized and easy to navigate.

Export Important Information

Download critical conversations for offline access or to share with others who might benefit from the information.

Upgrading to Get History

Conversation History is available with Premium+ subscriptions. To upgrade:

  1. Click your profile icon and select "See plans and pricing"
  2. Choose the Premium+ plan
  3. Complete payment setup
  4. Start saving your conversation history immediately

Note: Conversations from before you upgrade won't be retroactively saved. History tracking begins the moment you activate Premium+.
